Two years ago Helmke Library purchased a digital collection management software, to move IPFW to the next level of library services. IPFW Helmke Library’s mDON, mastodon DIGITAL OBJCET NETWORK, provides worldwide access 24 hours a day, seven days a week to digital collections documenting the history and development of IPFW and northeast Indiana. The creation of the library’s first digital collections is documented in mDON: The First Two Years.

 

OnStage at IPFW
Release: 2007-09-18
Helmke Library proudly announces the launch of OnStage at IPFW, a new collection of theatre memorabilia. Beginning with the first Purdue-Indiana Theatre (PIT) production in 1964, the collection includes photographs, programs, and other print materials. OnStage at IPFW currently highlights one season from each decade, with plans to digitize the entire collection. Watch for new additions in the comming months!

 

History Center Digital Collections
Release: 2007-05-17
IPFW's Helmke Library and the Allen County-Fort Wayne Historical Society are pleased to introduce the History Center Digital Collections, featuring maps, manuscripts, photos, and more. The first phase of the collection, That Glorious Gate, focuses on materials related to location and transportation heritage in Upstate Indiana. Included in the collection are the first maps of Fort Wayne, letters related to the development of the plank road, and detailed river maps.
